The Mazda MX-5, the car that singularly reintroduced the two seat sports car back in to the UK in 1990. Now in its third incarnation, this very latest model successfully keeps to the original recipe, only 2cm longer and 10 kg heavier than the original (mainly due to extra safety equipment). A 158 bhp 2-litre engine is pushed well back into the chassis to give the ideal 50:50 weight distribution. Power is transmitted through the super direct 6-speed gearbox to the rear wheels.
