Full-time Job vacancy: General Manager - Thruxton Kart Centre

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a General Manager to join the team at Thruxton Kart Centre, reporting to the Group Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will direct and oversee the daily operations of the centre, cost control, budgeting, staffing, help to coordinate events and ensure all H&S documentation is kept current and up to date.

GENERAL MANAGER OUTLINE JOB DESCRIPTION

• Budgeting and cost control

• Planning grounds and building maintenance and operational programs

• Ensuring the efficiency of all building systems

• Coordinating site safety programs

• Maintaining a safe environment for all customers and employees

• Managing facilities planning and space allocation

• Coordinating with contractors

• Managing and/or carry out maintenance of grounds

• The booking of and managing of staff

• Preparing and filing reports

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to follow all company policies and procedures

• Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently

• Eager to expand the company with new sales

• Able to encourage staff, both full-time and casual

• Be self-motivated

• Accurate and precise with an attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver

• Have reasonable IT skills and a good working knowledge of Excel and Word

• Follow strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals

• Own transport is essential

The Hours are predominantly Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, but some flexibility may be required given the nature of the business and the requirement to operate evenings and weekends. A generous package is offered to the right candidate. An immediate start is available which will enable a comprehensive handover period with the current manager prior to their retirement. Previous experience in the leisure karting industry would be a benefit but is not essential.
